Two Snowdonia Workshops on Fri 17th/Sat 18th May 2019. Each workshop will be limited to 5 people max.
Both workshops will concentrate on exploring different landscape photography techniques focusing on getting the most out of you and your camera. Topics will include composition, the use of leading lines, reflections and the creative use of depth of field. Technical aspects will also be covered including the exposure triangle and the use of the histogram. There will be the opportunity for some long exposure work. Guidance will be given in working with both colour and monochrome images. Both days will end with a review.
The workshops will be led by David Yeoman (www.davidyeomanphotography.co.uk), David is an experienced landscape photographer and has run many workshops both under his own name and for local camera shops.
Friday 17th May 2019 – Ogwen Valley
The first day will be based in the Ogwen Valley, where we will visit several locations around Llyn Ogwen/Llyn Idwal. These will include views of mountains, lakes and waterfalls. There will be approx. 2-3 miles of walking during the day. Adjacent to the car park is a café, a small café counter and toilet facilities.
We will meet at the Ogwen Cottage Café at 9am, and return to this location for lunch. The cost of any food/drink is not included in the workshop fee. The workshop will finish around 5pm
Saturday 18th May 2019 – Cwmorthin and Rhosydd
A relatively quiet valley near Blaenau Ffestiniog, once a former slate quarry, this location offers contrasting photographic opportunities from countryside views, views out towards the coast, ruined buildings and our industrial past. Approx 3-4 miles walking during the workshop. There are no facilities at the location, but we will start the day at the Lakeside Café at Tanygrisiau at 9am (supplies for a packed lunch can also be purchased here, but the cost of any food/drink is not included in the workshop fee. The workshop will finish around 5pm.

For anyone participating in both workshops, there will also be the opportunity to join David for a sunset location (Friday 17th) and a sunrise location (Saturday 18th) at no extra cost.
You will have to book your own accommodation (if required), Snowdonia can get busy so if intending to do this then please book accommodation early.
All participants take part in the workshops at their own risk, and Travel and Equipment insurance is not included.
We cannot guarantee the weather, so please come properly equipped for a May day outdoors in Wales. Guidance on suitable equipment can be provided.
